Clinical Product Strategy · Advisory · Speaking · Career Coaching
I'm not teaching healthcare AI product management from the outside.
I'm leading it from the inside — right now.
Jennifer Rist — Senior Global Platform Leader, AI-certified product leader, clinical product advisor, and career coach for clinicians ready to cross to the product side of healthcare AI.
In healthcare AI platforms launched globally
Presidential Global Product Manager of the Year
Years at the intersection of healthcare and AI
What I do
By day I build and launch multi-million-dollar AI-powered SaaS platforms for a leading health tech organization worldwide — products built on machine learning, generative AI, and agentic capabilities that serve thousands of providers and reach real patients.
Fortune 500 scale.
Real regulatory complexity.
Real clinical environments.
I also advise a small number of health AI companies, health systems, and digital health investors — bringing the clinical product depth that comes from a decade of shipping AI inside the environments these companies are trying to serve.
And I coach a select group of clinicians, analysts, and health IT professionals through the transition into healthcare AI product management — helping them position the clinical experience they already have as the strategic asset it actually is.
Three different engagements.
One consistent thread: I only work on problems I have been inside.
3x Presidential Global Product Manager of the Year Awarded for launching new-to-market AI platforms — each delivering $100M+ in measurable impact across healthcare organizations globally.
Certified AI Product Manager Hands-on experience building and deploying AI products on AWS and Microsoft Azure in secure, HIPAA-compliant healthcare environments.
A decade at the hardest intersection in healthcare
Healthcare AI is not like other software.
The regulatory environment is different.
The clinical stakeholder dynamics are different.
The consequences of getting it wrong are different.
I have spent the last decade navigating all of it — from early product concept through regulatory review, clinical validation, EHR integration, and real-world deployment at health systems that don't tolerate products that don't work at the point of care.
The products I have launched have been deployed at healthcare organizations globally.
They have been evaluated for FDA compliance.
They have been presented to clinical advisory boards made up of the most skeptical audience in any industry — the clinicians who will have to live with the product once the sales team leaves the building.
That experience is what I bring to the organizations and individuals I work with.
Not a framework.
Not a methodology.
The actual accumulated knowledge of what works, what fails, and why — built inside the environments that matter.
Why I do this alongside the day job
I never planned to advise.
I never planned to coach.
For years I was heads-down building — launching platforms, solving problems that hadn't been solved before in healthcare AI, learning things the hard way that I wished someone had just told me.
Then two things kept happening simultaneously.
Health AI companies started reaching out — teams with strong engineers who were struggling with clinical adoption, companies that had built impressive technology that wasn't landing the way they expected in real health systems.
The gap was almost always the same... no one in the room had ever been inside the clinical environment the product was built for.
And clinicians kept pulling me aside.
A nurse with twelve years in the ICU.
A healthcare analyst brilliant at her work but invisible to PM hiring managers.
The question was always the same version of the same thing: "How do I get to the other side of this?"
Both groups were facing the same gap from different directions. And I had spent a decade standing exactly at the intersection they were both trying to reach.
I built this because the gap is real, the cost of it is real, and I am one of very few people positioned to close it from both sides.

Who I work with
Health AI companies and startups You have strong engineers and a product that works in a demo. You're navigating clinical adoption challenges, EHR integration complexity, and the gap between what your product does and what clinicians will actually use. I work with product leadership as an advisor — bringing the clinical workflow depth and implementation experience that accelerates go-to-market and reduces the failure modes that show up after launch.
Health systems and hospital leadership You're evaluating AI vendors, managing failed implementations, or trying to build internal AI product capabilities. I help leadership teams cut through vendor claims, identify the clinical workflow gaps that kill adoption, and make better product decisions before they become expensive lessons.
Digital health investors and VCs Clinical AI products require a different evaluation lens than other software. I provide clinical product diligence support and advisory services for investors evaluating health AI and portfolio companies navigating product-market fit in clinical environments.
Clinicians ready to cross to the product side If you're a nurse, physician, clinical analyst, or health IT professional who has spent years watching healthcare AI fail at the bedside — and you're ready to be the person who builds it correctly — I coach a small number of clinicians through this transition each year. Your clinical experience is not a liability to overcome. It is the credential that healthcare AI companies cannot replicate.
If your work touches the intersection of AI and clinical care — let's talk
Whether you're a company trying to build products that actually get adopted, a health system trying to make better AI decisions, or a clinician ready to move to the other side of the table — reach out directly.
I work with a small number of organizations and individuals at a time and respond personally.
